We are pleased to announce the forthcoming annual meeting of the EAPS Health, Morbidity, and Mortality Working Group, which will take place in Bilbao at the Bizkaia Aretoa 25–27 September 2024 featuring keynote presentations from Anna Oksuzyan, Silvia Loi, and Zachary van Winkle. Please save the date!

The theme for the 2024 meeting will be “Work, Love, and Death”. We kindly invite contributions on how work and family shape or are shaped by our health (broadly defined) and longevity. Work and love define many of the most important life transitions, including the choice to move and the way we spend and enjoy our time. Health and mortality are both fundamental constraints on outcomes related to love and work, but they are also fundamental consequences of work and love trajectories. Proposals may cover diverse themes, including data sources, methods, theories, and substantive findings.

Presentations: All accepted abstracts will be oral presentations, either in flash format (3–5 minutes, including poster) or longer format (20+10 minutes). All presentations will be on-site.

Submissions should be formatted as a structured abstract (for example background, objectives, data, methods, (expected) results, etc), with a maximum extension of 500 words.

Submissions are now open using this online form until 26 April 2024: https://forms.gle/ubmNsefZ8559bUk39

We will give acceptance notifications by 31 May 2024
